Glucose is a local-first video player provided by DoublOne Studios Limited, UK. By downloading or using the software or its code, you agree to these simple terms.
1. Software License
The Glucose Media Player application is open-source software distributed under the European Union Public Licence v. 1.2 (EUPL-1.2).
Pursuant to Article 15 of the EUPL, matters related to the licensed codebase are governed by the laws of the Republic of Finland.
2. Intellectual Property
While the underlying source code is open, the Glucose brand name, logo, visual identity, and this website are the proprietary intellectual property of DoublOne Studios Limited, UK.
All matters related to the misuse of the brand name, logo, or proprietary assets are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
3. Authorized Distribution
DoublOne Studios Limited, UK solely reserves the right to distribute the official, branded software binaries for Glucose.
Authorized distribution channels are limited to the links provided on the official website (glucose.media), including our store on Polar and the Microsoft Store.
Any distribution of branded Glucose binaries outside of these official channels is strictly prohibited.
4. Content Disclaimer
Glucose is a tool for media playback. We are strictly a technology provider and are not responsible for any content consumed through the application, regardless of its legal nature.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to view the media they process with Glucose.
5. AI & Third-Party Models
Glucose includes features powered by third-party open-source AI models (such as for subtitle generation). These models run locally on your hardware.
"We are not responsible for the accuracy of subtitles generated via third-party open-source models used within this application. These features are provided 'as-is' without warranty of any kind."
6. Limitation of Liability
Except as required by applicable law, DoublOne Studios Limited, UK provides the software and website on an "AS IS" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind.
We will in no event be liable for any direct, indirect, material, or moral damages arising out of the use or inability to use the software.
