This privacy policy applies exclusively to official distributions of Glucose — available through the following two channels only:
- This website: glucose.media (recommended: glucose.media/download-for-windows)
- The Microsoft Store listing published by us
Unofficial or redistributed binaries obtained from any other source are not covered by this policy and are distributed against our Terms of Service. We take no responsibility for unofficial builds. We strongly recommend downloading Glucose only from glucose.media/download-for-windows.
What we don't collect.
Glucose does not collect, store, transmit, or process any of your personal information or usage data. Specifically:
- No analytics or usage statistics
- No crash reports or error logging
- No telemetry or analytics
- No tracking cookies or identifiers
- No file names, paths, or metadata
- No account creation or user profiles
How Glucose works.
Glucose is a standalone desktop application that runs entirely on your computer. When you play a video:
- Files are read and decoded locally on your device
- Your media files and watch history never leave your computer
- No internet connection required for playback
- Network access is used only for update checks and optional AI model downloads — nothing about you or your files is included

Glucose is sustained by a pay-what-you-want support model. If you choose to support us financially, payments are processed by Polar, an independent payment platform we do not operate.
Our payment provider Polar may collect information such as the email address provided by you, which is handled in accordance with Polar's own privacy policy.
We, on the other hand, still do not collect any data whatsoever after you download the official software. Support payments are entirely optional. Glucose is fully functional without paying anything.
Updates
Glucose checks for updates once a day in the background and downloads new versions automatically. The update check contacts GitHub's release API. No personal information or usage data is included in this request.
Nothing to access,
because there's nothing to hold.
Since we don't collect any data about you, there's nothing for us to:
- Access, modify, or delete
- Export or transfer
- Correct or update
- Restrict processing of
Your data stays on your device, under your control.

If our privacy practices ever change (spoiler: they won't, because we can't collect less than nothing), we'll update this page and note the revision date.
